About Tasmanian Walking Company
The Tasmanian Walking Company is privileged to have access to some of Tasmania and mainland Australia’s most spectacular national parks and special wild places, in which we offer fully guided multi-day walking experiences with private off-the-grid accommodation. We walk quietly and carefully through some breathtaking locations including Cradle Mountain, Bay of Fires, Three Capes, Bruny Island, and the Tasman Peninsula. We offer a range of trip styles including Signature, Long Weekend, Adventure and Limited Edition. This variation gives our guests the opportunity to find a walk which is perfect for them and their needs! In recent years we have started walking on the mainland, and we now have walks operating at the Twelve Apostles in Victoria, on Kangaroo Island in South Australia, and along the Larapinta in the Northern Territory. Our walks enable guests to immerse themselves in the lands and waters of Australia, and through connection with people and place, our guests gain a deeper cultural and environmental understanding of these special places, all supported by high-quality interpretation, and delivered by our knowledgeable guides. Each trip we run is guided, and we offer private eco-accommodation, hearty meals, and local wines and beers. We provide access to remote locations, with a focus on light weight packs and small group size. As a business we are environmentally dependent and strive to educate our visitors on the importance of sustainability, responsibility, and leaving a positive impact on the environment. Our intention is to give people of varying fitness levels, backgrounds, and experience a personal introduction to the natural world and our place within it.
