About Red Hill Auditorium
Red Hill Auditorium is a carbon NEGATIVE venue. This means as an artist performing here, a music lover attending a show or staff working here, you are actually REDUCING carbon emissions. As part of this initiative, we give punters monetary motivation to return their cans to the bar so we can ensure that all waste is separated and recycled responsibly. These are then returned to Containers for Change We also use the rainwater we collect all year round in our kitchen, toilets, vegetation across the venue and free drinking water, as well as all of our street lights being powered by solar. On top of this, we have the Red Hill Express which is our shuttle system that allows punters to purchase tickets from 18 venues across Perth that take them to and from the show. This means fewer cars on the road, fewer cars in the carpark, and fewer emissions generated from traffic. And of course as part of our partnership with Carbon Neutral we contribute to the reestablishment of ecosystems in degraded farming land in the Western Australian Wheatbelt, - the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. The vision is to recreate a healthy, functioning landscape, restored after decades of habitat loss and degradation. We are independently verified and audited each year to confirm compliance to our pledge to be carbon negative.
