The Role
This is a role for a relationship led sales professional who wants their work to have impact. Carbon Neutral is looking for an experienced Business Development and Accounts Manager to help more businesses take real climate action through high integrity, nature-based solutions.
You will take ownership of a client portfolio and grow it by bringing in new business, running renewals, and becoming the person clients call when they need practical guidance. If you have carbon market experience, you will be able to contribute fast. If you do not, you must be genuinely passionate about climate action and ready to learn the market quickly.
You will do well here if you love people, you love progress, you love selling carbon credits, and you care about doing things properly.
This role is not suitable for graduates, anyone who is early career or looking for your first sales role. We are looking for a proven sales professional who can hit the ground running, communicate with confidence, and build trust quickly.
Offering $90,000–$110,000 as a base salary plus super and plus a performance bonus, this role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with a collaborative sales team to drive results.
What you will do
· Sell high-integrity, nature-based carbon credits and multi-year supply solutions to help clients meet their climate and nature commitments (mostly in the ACCU market).
· Develop new business opportunities through relationship-focused outreach, inbound inquiries, and nurtured warm referrals.
· Take ownership of an existing client base and help them grow by maintaining regular, timely engagement with repeat clients.
· Lead your own sales process end-to-end through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close.
· Forge enduring client connections and passionately represent Carbon Neutral at industry events.
· Keep client records (including CRM) updated so the pipeline is clean, real, forecasts are reliable, and follow-up is tight.
· Guarantee a seamless end-to-end experience, ensuring a timely and fulfilling journey for the client.

What you will bring
· Several years of B2B sales and account management experience with a track record of closing deals.
· Proven ability to build credibility and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
· Commercial judgement, negotiation ability, and consistent follow-through.
· Clear written and verbal communication and a professional approach.
· Previous exposure to contracts, contract negotiation, risk, and compliance.
· Engagement as a team player, with enthusiasm to assist and support others when required.
· Strong IT literacy, particularly with MS 365.
· CRM experience (HubSpot preferred).
· Carbon market experience and an established network are highly regarded.
· Genuine passion for climate action and nature-based solutions (essential).
· Ability to operate independently from day one.
Your first 90 days in the role (non negotiable outcomes)
· Take ownership of an existing client portfolio and execute a structured re- engagement and renewal plan.
· Build new pipeline with a consistent prospecting rhythm and strong inbound conversion.
· Lift HubSpot data hygiene across client data and accounts.
