Carbon Neutral Announces New Chief Executive Officer

Carbon Neutral, one of Australia’s leading nature-based reforestation and carbon sequestration organisations, is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Phil Ireland as its new Chief Executive Officer. Phil brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the company and will play a key role in shaping its future direction and growth.

Ray Wilson, who has served as CEO since 2010, will remain with Carbon Neutral as Deputy CEO, to facilitate a smooth transition into Phil’s tenure as the business’ leader.

Dr Ireland comes to Carbon Neutral with over 15 years’ experience in policy, organisational leadership, and the business of addressing climate change. Most recently, Phil co-founded and served as CEO at Hone Carbon, a business whose objective is to unlock the potential of carbon storage in Australia.

Phil is a dynamic leader of people with a passion for innovation and climate impact, and Carbon Neutral is excited to welcome him to the team.
