Arbortech started in Nannup, in the South West of Western Australia where Kevin and Kristine were living an “alternative lifestyle”. Inventing had always been a love of Kevin's and most of his woodworking tools were a result of experimentation. When Arbortech was formed in 1988 to commercialize their first successful product “the Woodcarver Blade”, they promised that they would continue with this philosophy and search for people who also enjoyed their work.

The result is that Arbortech tools are designed and made in Australia by people who love tools. A collaborative and diverse team is what allows us to achieve to the level that we do. We place great value on not only the quality of our tools but also on who we are as a business and how we contribute to society. We are determined to take steps, however small, towards becoming better “global citizens” for both society and the environment.
